Nestlé Applies for 5 year renewal of Aberfoyle Water-Taking Permit

On April 2, 2007 an application was posted on Ontario’s Environmental Registry for a renewal of Nestlé’s Permit To Take Water from Aberfoyle, ON. Nestlé’s wants to take 3.6 million liters per day, 365 days per year for a 5 year period.

You can comment on this application but your comment must be received by May 11, 2007.

    It is insane to think that a company is actually asking permission to remove water from the ground and sell it for a much greater cost, with many more environmental damages tack on to it as well. It should be the job of the controlling board to assure that this request is taken seriously, and denied, for I cannot believe this was a thought that could even cross someones mind.
