Please join the Wellington Water Watchers on November 19th for our Annual General Meeting. It will be held at 7pm in the Red Chevron Club (Downstairs) on 34 Elizabeth St. Guelph.
This has been an exciting and dynamic year for the WWWs with many things to report on, ranging from a revitalized Board of Directors, numerous events, water taking permit renewal campaigns and the issue regarding corporate influence in the public sector. This is your chance to hear first hand from the Chair about the progress we have made in the past year, and how you can get more involved in support of source water protection in your community. We will be affirming the current board as two positions are being filled by acting board members Rob Case and Kim Gutt. If you are interested in being on the board, please notify us by email before Tuesday, November 13th. Upon doing so, your name will be announced along with others at the meeting. Please be present to speak to those in attendance about why you would make a good board member. A vote will follow immediately after. Mike Nagy has put his name forward to remain as Chair if supported by the membership.
We will also be seeking your input regarding several key issues. The coming year is a very critical one for the WWWs to act on issues facing the watershed and beyond. We need your support and participation, as many hands make light work, but more importantly we need your energy and ideas.
The room we have selected is licensed and we will also have door prizes, so come on out on the 19th and have a great time for a great cause!
