Melancthon Update to Wellington Water Watchers

Update to Wellington Water-Watchers

First of all, on behalf of CAUSE and our allies, many thanks to the Wellington Water Watchers for all your support and active participation in the campaign to stop the mega quarry. Without organizations such as yours, and without dedicated and concerned people like you, there is no way that this proposal would be getting the attention and commitments to oversight that it is now receiving.

During the last six months, our little campaign has evolved into large and dynamic movement that has pushed this proposal and issues related to how we protect our… Read the rest

Tiny’s showdown with Nestle

Read this letter from our brothers and sisters to the north…..
Hello Wellington Water Watchers!
You may have heard that Nestles will be making a presentation to Tiny Township on Oct 11th – Regarding Tiny’s decision to ban water bottles from their municipal facilities.
It would be very effective and important to have a full house at Tiny on Oct 11th – to show support for Tiny Townships decision.
People could sit in the Chambers with refillable water containers, or glasses of water to watch their presentation.
Would you be interested in joining?  Do you know of others that

Ottawa Action

Just passing this along!

Yesterday I got to take part in an inspiring day of action against the tar sands and the proposed Keystone XL pipeline here in Ottawa. It was the largest climate-related civil disobedience action in Canadian history and I wanted to share this video I made with you…  I hope you will consider sending your own message to Harper (by writing a letter, calling his office, or through other creative means).

With hope… for a future that is more healthy for the people and the planet,
