Bill 185 and the proposed Provincial Planning Statement introduced to the Ontario legislature on April 10 threaten public participation, self-determination, reconciliation, and environmental protections. These proposed changes will work in concert to streamline the wrong kind of development and present a false solution to the housing crisis. 

Like Bill 66 and Bill 23, Bill 185 is yet another attempt at reducing critical public involvement and could severely erode local democracy.
