Water is under threat across the province. That's why people are coming together on August 11th on the shores of Lake Simcoe to hold this collaborative event. Together, we'll share our concerns and address the need for urgent provincial action on water issues.
Barrie is home to two Ontario Ministers that have the power to protect water: Minister of Environment, Conservation, and Parks Andrea Khanjin and Minister Doug Downey, Attorney General of Ontario. We are traveling to gather together in Barrie to speak directly to these Ministers and speak for the water. We will share the threats to water happening across the province and the ways these Ministers can use their power to protect water, for all life.
Agenda
1PM - Water Ceremony with Becky Big Canoe
1:30PM - Sign-Making & Crafts

We are also taking the opportunity to celebrate our collective work to protect water and uphold Indigenous sovereignty. We will have family-friendly activities & a community day to meet, build stronger relationships with each other, and spend time by the water.
All are welcome! We look forward to gathering together for the love of water!
